A Contradicting Society

"What?! The ATM machine is unable to withdraw money after i queue up for so long?"

"Why don't the person in front let us know so that the people behind no need to waste time waiting and queuing."

"Hmm, cannot withdraw money? True or not, let me try."

"Why the person don't trust me when I tell him the ATM is out of service?"

"If I know that he won't trust me, why waste my energy to tell him the ATM cannot be used."

"If the person trust me, he will be able to save his time from queuing up lo."

"Sigh, I will still tell them the machine is not working even though they don't trust me, at least I still do a good did."

"No no no, I spent so much time queuing up for nothing, so others must experience the same with me then only fair."

"Selfish fella, don't tell me the machine is not working!"

Those inner voices can come from an individual, a society or even a community. "Sharing is caring" is the statement that I always heard since I was young. We learn to share good things among each other so that everyone can be happy. However, the society now is no longer so bright anymore. Because most people are getting more realistic and competitive among each other. They said if you are considered as commit suicide if you let your enemy win. This theory leads to the selfishness of a person. Well, I would said this is a KIASU act. By just standing at the ATM area in a shopping mall, I was able to identify so many different expressions from those people's face. (LOL, or maybe I'm the one who thinks too much.)

However, most people are easily scared naturally. They will be motivated to do good did after they did a sin or negative acts. But if you are so afraid of he consequences of bad acts, why don't you just remained as a good person? Don't be so contradicting la....think before you act!

It used to be my ambition.

It's my first time to fly! My shout out since finally I'm able to travel by air bus on yesterday when I travelled to Langkawi Island for a short working trip. I was so afraid and yet super excited when the flight started to accelerate on the track before it was able to fly up high into the sky. When we were small and young in primary school time, there is always a column in the report card that required us to put down our ambition. I do remember that pilot was one of my choice. It was still fresh in my memory that my list of ambitions had included doctor, lawyer, hair stylist, fashion designer, teacher, accountant, and many more which all are unrelated to what I'm doing right now.

Writing all those ambitions without thinking what field were all that in, how good is our result need to be, probably only happened during that age. The time when all of us have no commitment and problem to think in life. To be a pilot, doctor or lawyer, the pre-requisite is to score an excellent result in studies. Only people who excel in studies are able to pursue their education in such lines. However, I am not a very bright student in school, I never get number one in class, I never get straight A's, I'm never a teacher's pet, so I'm actually quite brave and daring to have such courage to write down those ambitions in my list. Of course, this only happened when we were young and innocent.

Now in life, what matters most isn't what job you are doing, what position or designation that you carried in your company, but the question is are you able to make a living on your own, be responsible on your own and capable to take care of your parents and family.  If my result is not good, what alternatives do I have? Well, there are actually plenty of choices in this world, as long as you are willing to put in efforts you will find your way to the successful route. As long as I do not cheat and earn the money with honesty, I am considered as a successful person. A doctor is a job, a lawyer is a job, everything is a job. Career, job and roles all meant the same, because it brings you reward when you work hard. So just be hardworking, diligent, responsible and honest.

Currently I'm studying Degree in Corporate Communication, I will be working in a corporate world which is very challenging after I graduate. This degree allows me to be Public Affair Officer, Public Relations Practitioner and etc. Although the designations title may sounds not as grand as doctor, pilot and lawyer, but it can be the rice bowl that can protect and support my family and I. Even though I did not managed to be what I used to want, but I am in the correct, right and bright path still, as long as I work hard (LOL, should work smart!) and be determine, I believed that I will be able to lead a prosperous life.

Guess What? Guess The Emoji~

LOL, cuter than angry birds at least! Guess The Emoji - considered the latest game in Facebook, Android and even in Apple Strore! It basically tests our logic and reasoning skills to solve simple (and sometimes hard!) Emoji Puzzles! We'll be presented with a screen displaying some emojis and to guess what is it that these emoticons are describing like how it shown in the picture below:

(Guess the emoji, 2014)

I got to know this game when my friends started to ask me for answers in Whatsapp to see whether I can help them to solve the problem or not. But after a few times of answering for them, I felt this game is actually quite cute, creative and amazing as I never thought all these emoticon can actually formed a game. For instance, one of the question displayed three emojiticons: a boy face, a thunder lightning sign and a spectacles. I will seriously never thought of Harry Potter if my friend never gave me that answer.

Others who didn't play the game said we were very funny because we are considered cheating when we asked others for answers. Then another interesting friend replied and said it's not cheat, it's TEAMWORK!! LOL! However, I wonder do people know that Mr Google has all the answer with him? Just ask him LAH!!! Simple~ then you can solve the game without asking for friends' help, and your friends will thought why you so smart!! As this is what I did (HAHA, super KIASU!), when there is any hard question that I could not solve, I will immediately search through Google. Till then I realised I learned nothing if I keep spoon fed by Google to play this game. Therefore, I have decided to stop the game and will only play if I'm super free or maybe I shall continue with my candy crush? At least I need to analyse the moves and predict the results all by myself. Hmm....no no no!! As a student, I shall spend time asking Mr Google on my assignment. Sigh, why Google don't have all my assignments' answers~ LOL, sounds so wrong!

Gallop, gallop and gallop~~ The Horse year!!!

Here comes my year again  after 23 years of celebrating Chinese New Year- The Horse year! Every year, I will travel back to Malacca which is my dad's hometown for reunion and enjoy the moment of get together. However, there will be this funny and amazing competition among our two beloved neighbours. They never failed to amaze us every year with the great and awesome fireworks show at midnight which they will light up the beautiful sky when the clock strike 12 a.m. after the new year eve day. They usually have this battle for around 10 minutes to show case who have the more beautiful and longest fireworks ever. (Hehe, it's not actually the real competition but just what I imagine as a battle where I act as a "host" to do the talking on who strikes better.) Usually most of my family members agree that the right side neighbour did a better job!

However, every year when they ignite the fireworks, something will flash into my mind: Why would they spend so much money on these when it doesn't really brings any benefits to the people besides that putting up a good show for people around to enjoy and feel the moment. But what I really feel is if they really want to perform a good did for the community, they can actually donate those amount to the needy people such as old folks home or orphanages rather than spend on that few hundred boxes of fireworks. By contributing these amount to the needy people, at least people will really get benefits from the money. For example, the orphans can get to buy new clothes, re-furnish their shelter and happily celebrate Chinese New Year. As burning those fireworks into the sky only left people with a few minutes happiness but not something that is practical or meaningful. Even though I do enjoyed watching this fireworks show but I think if the money is used wisely, it will definitely make a New Year more meaningful.

Well, here come my New Year wishes:
1. My family and I be blessed with good health and happiness.
2. Always be safe and be protected by Buddha.
3. Money roll roll come!
4. Get slim and fit!
5. Get into the F**ing Dean's list!!

Huat ar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
